We undertake tree felling, tree reduction and hedge-trimming projects. The site will be left tidy on completion of the work. Our approach to the task will always be designed to ensure the safety of your property and, of course, all pets and people in the vicinity.

About Mitchell Tree Surgery

Mitchell Tree Surgery was established in April 2008 and since then we have worked on thousands of trees and trimmed miles of hedges. Taken together, members of our co-working teams have a combined experience of over 30 years of professional tree work. A growing proportion of our customers are regular clients including some who have been with us since the very first season. We undertake all kinds of tree work apart from stump-grinding. (For stump-grinding we can make excellent recommendations for reliable specialists.) Much of our work takes place in Conservation Areas and so in another part of the site we offer detailed guidance to help you check whether you are affected and to facilitate the process of submitting an application for tree works. Every photo in our Gallery has been taken by us and - where people are shown - represents members of our team at work.

Geographical areas we cover

Most of our clients are in and around Exeter and the western parts of East Devon. However, recent tree-work projects have taken us to parts of Bradninch to the north, west of Crediton to the east and down as far as Torbay and Sheldon on the English Riviera. For particularly interesting projects we have been happy to range as far as Dartmoor.

Public Liability insurance cover

Our insurance cover (for £5 million) is currently provided by Simply Business (click for direct confirmation).

Logs

We don’t have log-drying facilities and therefore don’t supply logs to our clients. However the wood from your trees remains your own property and we are always happy to cut it up into convenient lengths and leave all useful logs on site. Alternatively, we can remove all material as you prefer.
